MCPS TEACH Academy School Tour
Thursday April 3, 2025 TBA
New this year, Missoula County Public Schools launched the Missoula TEACH Academy at the Jefferson Elementary building in Fall 2024! This arts-integrated elementary school infuses drama, dance, creative writing, theater, and more art forms throughout the day. MCPS teachers employ highly engaging, knowledge-building, and movement-based curricula to keep students engaged and excited about learning. TEACH Academy also includes regular MCPS specialists and supports such as Music, Visual Arts, and Health & PE and will provide the special education and wellness services available at all MCPS elementary schools.

What sets the TEACH Academy apart?
The intentional focus on using the arts to foster higher levels of learning and student motivation. This is a unique opportunity for teachers, students, and families to grow their creativity within this small school community. In the first year, students are invited to choose a school mascot and colors and form a student advisory council. The TEACH Academy is free and open to all K-3 students and offers a 4-year-old early literacy classroom-based program.
